About
I’m a New Zealander on an extended ‘working holiday’ in London.
I’m gamefully employed by the Grauniad Newpaper as part of the team who bring you www.guardian.co.uk.
As a foreigner, I represent the unacceptable face of uncontrolled mass migration (or what ever the red top papers are calling it this month). I’ve been accused of been over here to steal your jobs, your women and your housing. It’s a big ask but I’m trying my best.
I’m the developer of Search Wellington, the Welly news aggregator and Squadlist, the rower wrangling tool.
I live south of the river; because I always have and don’t see any reason to change now.
Stop press - actually that’s no longer true. Technically I now live north of the river, but it’s really slightly west of the river
and it’s close enough that I’m sure I could get back south side in an emergency.
It’s a strange quirk of nature that to get south of the river, you have to take the northern line. I’ve never heard a satifcatory explaination for that; answers in a brown paper envelope to the usual address please.
I like trains, including the District Line. I even once brought a copy of Rail magazine.
I do not however write down train numbers in little black books; that’s sort of creepy.
